Brilliant crystal.
Invisible glass.

Chandelier and window cleaning for Toronto homes, done by hand by Andy Nazarian for over 30 years.

Thirty years.
One careful pair of hands.

Andy Nazarian started cleaning windows with Genesis Window Cleaning in 1996. In 2007 he opened Viek Cleaning, and he still does every job himself: the estimate, the ladder, every prism.

Most of his new clients are sent by old ones. That is what happens when someone treats your chandelier as if it hung in his own front hall, and leaves the house tidier than he found it.

Gloved hands polishing a crystal prism with a soft cloth beside a window, more prisms laid out on a white towel.

Safety
A clean safety record across three decades of ladder work.

Glass so clean
it disappears.

Inside and out: the glass, the frames, the screens, the tracks and the sills. Hard-water stains, paint and adhesive lifted without a scratch.

Skylights, glass doors, mirrors and railings too.

A tall six-over-one window looking out on a tree-lined Toronto street in autumn, wiped clean as you scroll.

For houses, townhomes, condominiums and residential buildings, and for the property managers and superintendents who look after them.

Dust settles on crystal so slowly that nobody sees the light leaving it.

Each prism comes down, is washed by hand and polished, and goes back where it was.

Then the light
comes back.

Over 2,000 chandeliers so far, from small crystal fixtures to multi-tier pieces in high-ceiling foyers.

How a visit goes

Nothing starts until you have a price. Nothing is left the way he found it, except your furniture.

Looking up at a crystal chandelier while a man takes notes in a small notebook.

The estimate

Andy comes to see the chandelier or the windows first, and gives you a price before any work begins.

Drop cloths spread on a marble floor under a chandelier, a step ladder and shoe covers.

Protection

Drop cloths under the fixture, shoe covers at the door, and furniture and valuables moved with care.

Crystal prisms laid out in rows on a towel beside a basin of soapy water, gloved hands washing one.

By hand

Every prism and arm is hand-washed and polished, then hung back exactly where it came from.

An extension ladder with a stabilizer against a red-brick house beside a second-storey window.

At height

Extension ladders with stabilizers, fall protection, and a look at the site before he climbs.

A brass squeegee drawing a clean strip across a wet window pane.

The finish

Streak-free glass, clean frames and sills, bulbs replaced, and a walk-through with you before he goes.

Once a year, or every spring and fall.

Ask about a recurring visit. Property managers can book a whole building on a schedule.
